Re: not coping

Oh wow @outlander that is BIG news! With big news I imagine there's been much anticipation for big change, and big emotions to boot.

I hope that this transitional period goes as smoothly as possible, and that the NDIS comes through so you truly can just focus inward for a time. You deserve that chance hun 🤞💜

Re: not coping

Hey sweetie @outlander

I have been so sick for over a week now. Got my GP quite stumped. I was diagnosed with one thing by another GP (as mine wasn't available) and put on antivirals, but I am no better at all. So I went back today, and she thinks it is something else entirely, and now on ABs. That's sometimes the issue with fibro; makes everything in my body a bit screwed up, and I react to certain things in unusual or uncommon ways.

My mother is facing a possible life-changing (and challenging) diagnosis, so it's been a bit stressful the last few weeks. She has a few tests to go through this week, and she will be back to see a specialist in a few week's time for hopefully a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

So much like everyone else, life has had many downs and some ups. I am about the same as when I was here last.

Re: not coping

Hi @Sans911

So nice to see you on here, I really do miss you.

Sorry to hear about your sickness hon. I really hope the ABs you are on now really do help.

Also not good to hear about your mum. I totally understand though. Just waiting for a diagnosis on my mum that will change everything. I hope with the treatment plan for your mum comes support for the both of you.

Sending lots of love to you 💗

Re: not coping

im glad that he has nice people around him at least @greenpea they will always want to come home, i would too. i guess its good knowing he has supports and you can go and see him whenever you want to as well

Re: not coping

@Snowie sending love to you, i know its tough for you atm too Heart

Re: not coping

@Jynx it will definently be a struggle. its in the rough stages at the moment where everything is my fault and i dont care and i dont have a heart and he is telling everyone who will listen how crappy of a person i am.
its going to take some convincing to keep family on side i think

Re: not coping

@Sans911

thats really tough. i hope your dr can work out what is happening and you start feeling better soon. it really sucks when complex conditions dont react the same way others would. so frustrating.

im sorry about your mum as well. i hope whatever the diagnosis is it can be managed even if its lifelong. the tests, waiting and the unknown can be so scary

Re: not coping

@outlander Yeah it's really rough to have to cop that, especially with all you've done and how much of your own time and energy you've sacrificed for him. Hope your family can recognise that and acknowledge that you deserve to catch a break, and to be able to focus on your own needs and desires for a time. Fingies crossed for ya 🤞💜

Re: not coping

i do hope so @Jynx ive already made up my mind that i wont be bringing him back home. he will be staying there and if the daughter isnt happy he can go live with her which isnt viable. she just has to understand that this is the best option. nearly 80 with dementia and only getting worse i cant keep putting my life on hold anymore.
