Re: Staying Safe

Hi @WinterSun
How are you going?

Re: Staying Safe

Hi @Former-Member

I have been busy which is probably good.
We have been going to a survivors support group which has been good if no reason other than to meet others who are also suffering the loss of a loved one.
I was interstate Mother’s Day which was a great help as it was more a holiday than having to focus on that day alone. Lost son would always make an effort other son doesn’t like the commercialism of it but still made it nice when I got home.
Son had psych appt today I was glad he attended without resistance. He has been working at but jobs whilst interviewing for permanent ones. Gf dumped him today so we’ll see how that goes.
I’m dealing with health issues and lost sons gf is struggling with caring for dying mum.
I’m over 2018. Just want a quiet life.

How are you going?

Re: Staying Safe

Hi @Former-Member

Keeping busy with work. Son starts job Tue not getting my hopes up we’ll see how it goes.

The suicide survivors group has been helpful to be with others who have also been in this situation. We keep going one step at a time.

Re: Staying Safe

WinterSun you have so much to deal with.  I can't give you any advice but there are heaps of people on here checking how things are going and wishing you well.

How are you going @WinterSun

Re: Staying Safe

Hi @Former-Member

Still going. Son is on third week of work not getting told much but tired and grumpy from long days of work and travel. Not med compliant unless we give it. Resents having to take it.

Grief counsellor is giving me insight into him.

Unfortunately mum of ex girlfriend is deteriorating quickly and we are supporting them as best we can. Just trying to get through it day by day.

Hi @WinterSun

How are things going?

Re: Staying Safe

Hi @Former-Member

Thanks for keeping up.

We have completed suicide survivors group which was helpful.

Son has worked a month which is good but I refuse to get my hopes  up couldn’t stand another disappointment.

The gf of lost son is going through last days of mums life. We are trying to support them doing the job our son should have been doing.

In the words of another I now believe in the great nothingness where nothing is hoped so nothing is lost and where nothing is expected so nothing can disappoint.
