I’ve spent 2.5 hours trying to get onto suicidecallback no luck
Why bother trying? No one cares. I'm just taking up space.

Hey @Muttasaurus ,
How are you? Sorry to hear it's taken so long trying to get onto suicidecalllback service....
Don't forget, there are other services available to you!!
Lifeline: 13 11 44, or Lifeline has an online chat, click here
If you have a preference for SCBS, they also have a chat/online counselling, click here .
I've sent you an email to check in with you, regardless.
Hope you're doing okay.
Warm regards,
Pipinya 🌿

Re: I’ve spent 2.5 hours trying to get onto suicidecallback no luck
I was talking about this with my counselor once.
I said that there seems to be no point trying to call a crisis line, because by the time you get to the other side, you will probably feel better by then. She said "isn't that a good thing?" 😂.
I would recommend holding on, even if it takes a long time. Whatever's bothering you hasn't happened overnight, so maybe once you start talking to them, you'll still benefit from it.
If you think about it, can you imagine how many people need support that the wait is three hours long? I know certain times and days are really busy, but still, dozens of people are in crisis, at any point in time.
This mindset certainly isn't for everyone, but some people take comfort in the fact that they're not alone in that regard. You can do this.
The final thing I will say is that just because the organisation is struggling to keep up with demand doesn't mean the volunteers on the other side don't care. They are there for you, and to be honest, they probably really get the frustration of feeling like you're not being supported, because they are often the last line of defense for those people.
Good luck 🤗.
@Muttasaurus . Just letting you know I've edited it 😊.
