@PeppiPatty, always sending fond wishes to you and loved ones. 🙂
@Faith-and-Hope, it does sound like a tangled web but I get a broad idea of what is going on, I think. So glad there are some amazing experiences coming along amidst everything else. 🙂
With that, I am going to head towards bed. 2.30am here now. I don't have the 'stamina' for the 'all nighters' that I used to have (which is a good thing). Nightie night all.

Sleep well @Mazarita ..... glad your routines have settled a lot.
We're still overseas so I'm in a different time zone for another week or so.

I have tried to get some sleep but I was unable to get off to sleep but I tried to stay as still as possible. I have just taken some headache tablet and I could probably have another one before I try to sleep again.
I understand re WH and his training regiment. I forgot its much cooler over there in Europe then here in Qld. My friend asked me tonight (9.30pm) to go on an excursion with her, in anycase its a bit short notice when you are not feeling the best. I am starting to learn to not to overextend myself. Plus I don't know the person she is driving back to Hervey Bay and not really up to meeting new people or driving long distances.
How was lunch??

Hi @oceangirl ... think I dozed off for a little bit there ....
Lunch was really nice. For the first time since we came down with the flu, we were all out together, including MIL. WH gave D3 the choice of where we would go .... we are starting to see these small changes happening which appear to be the tipping over from the first Stage of Change (denial and hostility) to the second (an awakening of sorts, emerging awareness that he has a problem).
He was actually prepared to try somewhere new .... still ordered the same food as the place he has been going to for lunch every day, but this place prepared the salad differently, and it wasn't to his liking .... but still .... it's breaking down the rigid control, and he does seem aware that he is trying to be more flexible.
This place has an emphasis on health food, but considering that the traditional Greek diet is very healthy, it's really just more a country-kitchen cuisine I think. I really enjoyed their salads, and have taken some mental notes about things I want to try to reproduce at home.
WH is coming back here for a few weeks in a month's time, to see to some renno work on a family property that was mis-managed by the person left in charge of it. That will give the rest of us a complete break from his regimen. He was going interstate for periods of time last year too, which took the pressure off all of us. it's a real learning journey, and that's not all bad, despite the most trying times.
It's bitter-sweet to be leaving soon, but I am also missing our older kids, and it will be good to see them again. Having lived here before, it's like we have two homes, two worlds.

I'm heading off to the coffee bar with WH shortly, so I will be out for a bit @oceangirl ..... I'm actually hoping you managed to go to sleep and your headache passes.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope ... I must have just missed your post when I checked back in last time......
I am glad you had a really enjoyable lunch and that you had luch together as a family. How is MIL- will she be okay for the long haul flight back to WA??I am glad WH asked D3 where she would like to go to lunch and he was able to try something new.
I think its great that you see some postives too, it can't always be negative. But you have amazing insight and I think overtime he will become less rigid, I can sense some changes happening too and perhaps this year is going to be a more balanced and enjoyable year for you all.
I mite try to get some sleep soon ...

I am so glad you are all getting over the dreaded lurgie - and glad you could all go out for lunch and most of all that WH is starting to see how his health is and I hope he improves and you can get that diagnosis you are all needing so much and hoping for
And @oceangirl - I read that yesterday you are thinking about going back into hospital - or rather - you were yesterday - and that you have that headache still - so I am wondering how you are feeling today and whether you have rung your specialist yet
I hope all goes well for you - I read your original post a few pages back and this one but not all the pages in between - I lose what I am thinking about writing if I do that -
All the best - if you need the break for your health's sake - then it is a good idea to take it before things get serious - you know best how you feel
