Re: When your husband doesn't socialise. Is this normal??
Hi @Woman30, nice to "meet" you.
Did your partner previously enjoy hanging out with friends? A change in behaviour may suggest that there is something going on for him. On the other hand, if hanging out with friends was something he has never enjoyed doing, then it may just be that that is something he doesn't enjoy. I'm single and I've never had a partner (except for a messy abuse situation when I was a young teenager) so I have no words of wisdom at all in that particular regard although I would imagine that the best way to find out if there is anything bothing him would be to ask him.
I hope you are having a nice day.

Re: When your husband doesn't socialise. Is this norm al??
Hello @Woman30 my dad was like that for most of his life particularly after his mother died, the only place he would go was the pub for a couple hours in the evening, for me I can distinctly remember starting to withdraw from people and activities when I turned 30 and a gradual decline from then, not saying thats is going to happen with your husband, it's just my experience, are you able to ask him if he is going ok? are there other things you notice that seem unusual?

Re: When your husband doesn't socialise. Is this normal??
I withdrew from socialising so much around the time I turned 30 also. Maybe there's something in that, who knows? I was always a bit of a social butterfly until MI struck me and these days I rarely go out to socialise.
@Woman30, I think @utopia has the right idea about having a doctor give him a full check up. There could be a physical ailment causing this such as his diabetes worries, or it could be a mental health issue. There's only one way to find out.
