Looking after ourselves

Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

Hello @Gusday

Come and meet some other carers who care for their partners. A few of us here understand the heartache of having a partner who is suicidal as well as the grief of having to rearrange future plans.  Can I encourage you to hold on to hope with tenacity.

Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

Thanks @Former-Member 🙏

I can’t seem to find the Search bar on my phone access to the forums.

Can you also please tag @Aria  to the thread re caring for our adult children ?

@Former-Member @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @starflame

Hi everyone

I have not been on here for a while and feel I  need to say farewell to this amazing group as last week I made a choice to  leave my partner.

It has been such a rough ride and he made decisions last week that have put me in a terrible financial situation and he is still charging on.

I have tried so hard and am not leaving because I do not love him but because I have to give some love to myself before I completely crumble.

Part of me feels like a failure.

So thank you for all your sharing and having me here and I wish you all the very best
