Relapse and not coping well
Hi, I am new here and have come because I feel like I'm not coping well lately. I am feeling a lot of constant anxiety that I don't get much of a break from and it is taking its toll on my mood. I had a relapse of self harming after over a year without and find myself returning to other unhealthy patterns such as overexercising. I know these are my ways to cope when I feel low. I'm disappointed that I relapsed, but at the same time relieved because it feels like home. Not really sure where to go from here.

Re: Relapse and not coping well
Hi and welcome, @SugarGlider , it's good you've joined.
Sorry you're struggling with anxiety and depression and SH (self harm).
Can I ask if you have any professional support, like a trusted GP / meds / a counsellor / psychologist?
P.S. I like your username!

Re: Relapse and not coping well
Hi @NatureLover
I have a nice GP that I have just connected with who has referred me to a psychologist, thank you for checking. I'm on a waiting list for a month but that's not bad considering the demand for services at the moment.

Re: Relapse and not coping well
Hi @SugarGlider , thanks for your reply. I'm glad you have a referral to a psychologist. You're right, a month's wait is short at the moment!
I hope in the meantime that things go OK and you can manage.
