@Jynx  ….. that tag I made for my journal book that just randomly disappeared and I search everywhere for it, pulled out all my journal stuff, pulled the couch out, looked under the coffee table and was adamant the dog took it and ate it. Yep, it just randomly reappeared last night as mysterious as it disappeared. Right. There. On. The. Couch. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hahahaha @Bow story of my life!!

Re: My Mosaic

Haha thought you would relate @Jynx

oh you know, still kicking along.

been a week. Put my big girl pants on and took myself off to my gp by myself to get a new ED care plan to see my dietitian. Got bloods done too, by myself. Pat on the back. Potassium low though.
Seen my dietitian yesterday, first time since April, so was a good catch up. Mostly talked about this horrible intense thirst that I’ve been getting and this insanely cotton ball dry mouth. Now I’ve restricted fluids in the past as part of my ED, but I think I’m tracking ok at the moment. So not fully sure what’s going on. But it will hit me and it almost sends me into a panic cause I have this thought that I’m not gonna have access to water, even though logically I know the tap is right there, I tell myself quit being stupid, you ain’t gonna die of thirst. But it constantly happens through out the day and short of laying under the tap with my mouth open, can’t get rid of this horrible thirst.
dietitian said keep up fluids, suck on or chew some lollies…. Cause when ya don’t eat as often ya don’t produce as much saliva.

and still no psychologist which is starting to hit.

how are you??

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow oh that's wild - not surprised it comes with a dose of panic!! Has it helped to chew on lollies and stuff? Got some go-to lollies that you love? I've been OBSESSING over Nerds Clusters lately....

Yeah lack of psych would be so hard. Are you part of SANE's Recovery Club or anything? Be good if you had some auxilliary support and connection!!

I'm not bad, had the WORST guts yesterday, hence my absence. Thankfully it was just the super fun 'omg I'm gonna die' levels of pain from... bowel movements... 🤣🙃 So feeling much better today! Even got to do my first barefoot run of the season!! Haha I need to work on my calluses 😋

Up to much this weekend?

Re: My Mosaic

It does help a little @Jynx  i already had some tictacs to suck on, but dietitian suggested Zappos. Tried to find some last night and today, but couldn’t. So will try again next time I’m at the shops. I’m finding sucking on something provides a little relief but it’s unfortunately short lived. Nerd clusters are yumm though!

nah I’m not part of that. Was invited a while back when the sane lined closed to apply for the guided service program. But never got round to it.

oh ouch! That doesn’t sound fun at all! And yay for barefoot running!

let me show you what I’ve been working on the last couple of weeks. She’s just about done. Need to clear space for her, but the glass back in and the other 2 shelves, but I’m so chuffed! She’s so pretty! And the little door handles… are rabbits! A new place for all my Alice books

D is at her father’s today, so just at home doing stuff, popped to the shops this morning and cleared Kmart out of their photo frames. Need to get some market stock ready for the busy Christmas season. Tomorrow I’m having a mostly ‘I’m doing nothing today so leave me alone’. Then it’s  school holidays!

Re: My Mosaic

omg it looks AMAZING @Bow!! Perfect spot for all the Alice Whimsy hehehe.

Lol I literally have a bag of sour zappos to chew on!! Hot tip, don't eat a million sour zappos in one sitting. Your bowels will not be happy 🤣

Here's the link in case you're interested in checking it out!! Recovery Club is pretty cool imo, cos it's self-paced and gives you access to groups!

Ooh nice, what are you gonna be making for market? And any school holiday plans?

Re: My Mosaic

Haha leave you running for the loo @Jynx ??

I’ll have to have a look at the recovery groups. Not at all familiar with them.

Just need to replace all my usual market stock. A nice quote/saying with usually a flower made from rocks/pebbles. I haven’t made any in ages and don’t have many left. I got about 35 quotes written up just need to pull out all my buckets of rocks. I do a few Christmas themed ones too.

not too much planned for the holidays. Will try and do a couple of trips out for the day. She wanted a birthday party this year so I told her not big expensive activities for the holidays. She wanted a this or that day. I said next holidays. We’ll do some crafting.

Re: My Mosaic

Mayyyyybe @Bow  🤣🤣

Yeah check em out!! The good thing about groups is that you don't have to be on camera or speak aloud at all - plenty of people will just hang out in the chat and contribute there. Some folks just go to absorb the experience and won't say much at all, and that's totally valid. So if you do decide to scope em out I thought you'd appreciate that there's no pressure on you to have to speak 😊

Aww nice!! Do you go pebble-hunting or do you buy them? Haha you ought to visit Pebbly Beach in southern NSW!!

What's a this or that day, pray tell?!

Re: My Mosaic

That is indeed my type of group @Jynx  sit take it all in with no pressure to participate!

I bought rocks when I first started but then realized at our old house that there was heaps of rocks out the back. I just buy small ones and coloured rocks. When we moved I went and took buckets and buckets of rocks! 😂

This or that day. I get a heap of envelopes with 2 pieces of card in each one with an option of each card. I might start with an envelope with public transport or car on the cards and she blind picks a card and that’s what we do. I’ve done all sorts of things. Transport. I pick what she wears or she does. Hair up or hair down. Where we might go for morning tea. What we have for lunch. Manicure or pedicure. $5 at Kmart or target. New outfit from bigw or best and less. It’s fun. I love seeing her reaction over what she blind picks and whether she would have preferred the other one. But it can be a bit $$$

I guess it could be very possible to do a cheap version at home. Just plan at day at home with different activities. Different food/drink options.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow omg time flew and I...did not ahaha.

Oh I do hope you at least scope it out, it's totally meant to be... like almost paired with the forums as part of our services. Groups are the origin of the Spud Buds and Icebreakers threads so you know they're a good time hehe.

OMG that's so fun!! Hope you don't mind I totally steal that idea hehe. Make a super fun date!

You could also do a scavenger hunt!! Always love it, I did one for my nephew one year for his Bday, and each clue was a simple limerick, like

'The next clue hides in stanky piles

where yesterdays clothes

go on for miles'

- and you hide it in the bottom of the laundry basket! Can be a bit more complex depending on where she's at developmentally for abstract thought of course lol she's a bit older than him I think!

Re: My Mosaic

It sure did flew @Jynx !

I just got done watching a live stream of a hmmm a show? Production? Don’t know what ya call it! Couple of mums who started a podcast called ‘we don’t have time for this’ and they have put together a live show the last few years. They were at the opera house this year for their Sydney show. Lotsa mum stuff, kids, life, love, lotsa swearing and mum truths that people don’t talk about. I really like it. But anyways just finished.

totally steal it! Very fun date night idea! The possibilities could be endless really.

oh D would so love and enjoy a scavenger hunt! She loves that kinda stuff.

speaking off…. She is still up! I should go pounce and get her tucked into bed.

enjoy the rest of your evening and prob speak with ya tomorrow!

oh oh… I snapped this for you during the week!
