The Weekly Friday Feast

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hiya @Former-Member, I love Komboocha! So refreshing. Are you flavoured type a girl? I just like good 'ol plain flavoured.

@Former-Member sorry to hear your wee-tacker is not well. Poor thing. Porridge with strawberries and bananas is delicious and healthy! Why not have it for dinner. I've never eaten canned corn or peas, I do love canned creamed corns in a jaffel with cheese. Every tried it?

@Crazy_Bug_Lady I'm still hopeless with cooking. Cat Tongue

Hi @Former-Member You made it to yoga once this week, that's once more than I went to Tai Chi. From my point of view congratulations are in order for you getting there. I met my peer support for our first one-on-one meeting today. It was great. We are going to group meditation together next week. This time I really think I'll make it out the door for one of these kinds of things. Have you heard any more from Partners in Recovery? What novel did you read?

Well said: @Appleblossom, couldn't have said it better!

But you can do so very many things more than properly ... and that is what counts @Crazy_Bug_Lady

and SH doesnt define you .. we are so many different things for me you are someone who loves animals ... and not only in a sooky way but a scientific way .. and I REALLY RESPECT that.

I also think that not having scars is not a matter of failing but a sign of healing...

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I'll have a glass @Mazarita!

Do you make it yourself???

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Actually, @Former-Member brought the kombucha earlier in the night (so I edited my post, hehe). But you are always welcome to anything on the table, @CherryBombCat Happy

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

We could have double komboocha - I can drink heaps of it.. Smiley Wink

I'm curious to know @Mazarita if and how you make it?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi @CherryBomb - There is a local business called karmabocha near where I live. I like their rose karmabocha. I forget what is in it. If I'm buying another brand - I like something with ginger in it!

Hi @Mazarita - A peer worker going with you to meditation sounds helpful. Thanks re yoga, but I'm being really hard on myself. One of my running "friends" on fb is posting pictures of his beautiful girl's last day of school. It is making me wish I could go back to my last day of school & do everything differently - go to university straight away, make new friends (as my large group of school "friends" just ended up victim blaming me) get a degree before I got schizophrenia (maybe I wouldn't have got it if the trauma didn't happen...), never got involved with my first boyfriend who was an abusive drunk, never accidently put myself in a vulnerable position to be sexually assualted (but if it happened anyhow - gone to hospital & the police).... I wish I could start again. I feel like such a huge failure & now I am crying....

You will get to Tai Chi - I have faith in you.

Partners in Recovery rang & left a message saying they had accepted me into the program & a support worker (or something) would ring me in a few days....

Sorry, crying

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@CherryBomb I have never made kombucha. @Former-Member said it is made from fermented green or black tea. Cat Wink
