Good afternoon folks....I live in the future or you guys are in the past....time zones are neat eh?

It was icy this morning 0c felt like -3 on getting up. The day has warmed up to a scintillating 12 I think.

It has been a sad time for me as this is a memorial day for me to remember my younger brother who died suddenly and unexpectably with the UN during the Bosnia Kosavo period. He was a civilian but the death was a stupid and unnecessary thing. My other brother rang me at the ungodly hour of 0600hrs and I was getting ready for the early shift 0700hrs as a nurse. The hospital coordinator was priceless as she thought it very inconsiderate that I was not going to go into work (i worked in ICU) ....I spent the next 12 hours trying to track mum down in Eastern Europe...it was the most bloody awful day of my life...I still get all teary...it was almost 20 yrs ago. He would be in his 50s but of course he is always 36 in my mind. His birthday was less than a week away, but thank God mum caught up with him the previous week in Rome.

Sorry...I still grieve for him, I thought it gets less with time but it dont.

I still miss my mum after 16 years, and take time on special days to grieve for her .....

Nearly 8 years since my beloved partner passed away. Time does heal a little but we can rarely forget our loved one's passing. May you find peace in yourself @Neb. Know that members on this forum are your friends and will wish you peace also. Sincere regards from Bimby2

I hear your sorrow Yet from that sorrow I can feel joy, the joy of the bond you had with your Brother for 36 years, the joy of the bond you have with your other Family members, the joy of the patients receiving your care, the joy of your fellow workers for your help in their workplace. I think sorrow is connected to joy, I miss my Mother and my Grandparents because they gave me joy, I miss my Father and Brother because they were all a part of my Family, and being a part of a Family gave me joy. I think when someone you love has to leave the physical World, when you remember them, they do still give you joy; it may have to go through some sorrow because joy and sorrow are connected, but they are still giving you joy
