I've always been told you mustn't have favourites @Mazarita - and I think I'll leave that at that ;)
I'm not really sitting in my PJ's, but they've been comfy clothes for the past few days and I think they'll be fine for another one ๐ I'm on coffee number 2 and will try to switch to green tea next, though a few hot chocolates have been slipping in to my routine ๐
I'm so proud of you doing so many chores! I think I might steal a bit of your motorvation and try to use it to start on that mountain of dishes beside my sink today (I'm tired of rinsing a cup every morning :D)
I was super-slack and didn't walk the dogs yesterday, there was a light rain - enough to wet everything, and I'm a wuss in the wet ๐ But I taught my young dog a new game, and he seemed to love it - catch! I get him to sit and stay, and then I throw a beanie toy to him; by the end of it he was actually catching most of my throws (and I'm a terrible thrower! :))
I think it's Sleeping Beauty that whistles while she works, the one with the seven Dwarves (I'm hearing the tune in my head right now. I had all of the Disney movie records, with the book and pictures that went with it, and a little bell that told you when to turn the page ๐ ) So I'm wishing you whistles while you work and fun and happiness when you visit your friend. I haven't forgotten you situation and am feeling for you
Your friend Niqua (or Queeta as outlander has dubbed me ๐ )

I think I'll stick with Niqua, @Former-Member, though I like @outlander's Queeta too.
Funny that you mention 'whistling as you work'. One thing I've noticed really helps with my chores is putting music on the radio. So, even though I can't whistle, I can listen and move to the sound. Sleeping Beauty's main occupation (sleeping) makes a lot of sense to me, except that I'm no beauty, lol. I also think of Snow White and the seven dwarves, who sang 'hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go'. They were much better at going to work than I. Personally, I always related to 'Sleepy' there too.
I'm proud of your self-sufficient mechanical abilities with solar systems and generators! Awesome stuff, sister! Dare I tell you that we have a dishwasher here but I still manage to not do them at times. But, I'm in good spirits today, so the dishes and hopefully everything else on my to do list (and perhaps even more) will get done today. Mum's visit has strengthened me somehow for now. Same thing happens when I go down there to visit her. It can be a rollercoaster of emotions but I usually come back feeling stronger. I hope she feels stronger for seeing me too.
Cool that you taught your young dog the new trick!
Your friend, Mazy ox

Hello @Mazarita ๐ I've just discovered it was Snow White that had the 7 Dwarfs (I was trying to recall from 40 odd years ago ๐ ) But here's Sleepy, whistling a tune on his flute to help you while you work ๐ Oh . . . and you tell me it's Snow White in your post, I swear I'm going senile! ๐ ๐
Thank you for being proud of me, seems pride is a two way street around here - now there's something new for me too ๐ Yes you can dare to tell me about your dishwasher, believe it or not I used to have one, a little bench-top one that was great for cups and glasses; but my power sources have a way of ending such gadgets, so it's not worth my having them.
Being a Mum I think I can say, with some confidence, that your Mums visit to you gave her more than just strength, it gave her meaning in her life and where-ever she's gone back to (Melbourne?sorry if I've remembered that wrong) every single citizen it going to have their ears talked off about the visit! ๐
I'm very impressed with my young fella too! You know I had a Vet tell me his breed was not known for their intelligence - ppfftt! I'll have him playing hide and seek like my Danes used to before long. We have to work on the stay a bit more and get to where I can walk out of his sight and he remains still. Then I get a treat ball (a hollow ball that you can put treats/bisciuts into) and hide it somewhere, then when I return to him, I tell him to go and find it. The Danes used to love it and it would occupy them for ages if I hid it well enough ๐

@Former-Member, I dig Sleepy!
Just as I'm writing this there is an unusual wind instrument being played on the ABC jazz radio station on the TV. A world music piece with a woman singing intermittently in a language I don't recognise. Upbeat tune suiting my optimistic mood. Part of this is that the property manager has now said we are great and she would really like to keep us here if possible. Not holding my breath, but glad to feel on good terms with her again. Everything works better when I am on good terms with people. Last week I thought she was the b*tch of the universe, but, really, she's just doing her job.
Taking another little break from my chores. Got most of my to-do list done, but there are still bits and pieces I need to do before jumping in the shower later and getting ready for my sleepover with friend. For a home body, I feel like such a gadabout at the moment, staying with mum at her holiday unit earlier in the week, and now another night away from the flat. Companion is staying at home, as he did when Mum was here too. He's not as bothered by all the activity as I am, being generally more functional (though still a bit crazy, lol).
How are your dishes going (nudge, nudge).

For a Forum of crazy people @Mazarita, this is the most positive place I know ๐
I have to go into my little town, I'm out of DVD's and cat food (can't have that), so I'm logging off for a while.
When it comes to the dishes - one mountain climbed, one to go ๐
