Itβs good to see you researching and learning @outlander ......
I have used the technique before, but not really intentionally .... lol .... it just worked to pick up several colours on the brush at once .....
This is not one of mine, but demonstrates what I mean.

There is more than one shade or colour on the brush @outlander .... an$ the purple petals are a series of one-brush strokes, just soft and muted because itβs wstercolour. The flamingo too is one trailing brush-stroke, but then it has been drawn into with ink to create more definition. These are different uses of the one-brush technique.
I have depicted water movement before by loading my brush with a couple of different colours, and then rolling over and over as I made a long stroke.
Experiment ....

You can also paint with sea sponges or steel wool @outlander .... or make leaf prints from actual leaves ....

I have painted with leaves before @outlander .... a bunch of loose leaves, like parsley .... flicking it against a canvas, loaded with a selection of lifferent greens.
