Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

That is why my fur babies are so important to me - they fill those spaces where other people don't @MDT It is not that I am not good in social settings it is more that I don't like being around other people - too many fears and personal discomfort - always expecting the worst I think and never valuing that I have something to contribute Smiley Sad

I find it frustrating to be around immature people,  especially those who are jealous @MDT. So feel for you.

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

I know how you feel @Zoe7 I feel like that with my own generation

I know @outlander can relate on that

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

for what it is worth I enjoy chatting with you on here though @Zoe7

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

It can usually be a big factor in the end of friendships i have found @utopia

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

Be yourself @MDT but be considerate of others . Get someone to be jealous of you? ?

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

I don't have any trouble chatting to people either here or irl @MDT I just prefer not to. I know it has so much to do with keeping things very close to myself and not letting people in. I have shared so much more on here than I would or have done irl. I feel the quieter I am the more I will be left alone. I often don't say much - maybe that is because of my history of not being listened to or being dismissed in certain situations - too much history to get around!

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

there is a long line of people who are jealous of me @TAB lol..... not...

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

Well socialising beats sitting at home @MDT

Re: My Story and where to from here.. (very personal)

Have you heard of this book?

I actually found it really useful. I recommend it.

Not all talk is worth listening to.

I was always a quiet kid and I think I still am to some extent, but when I speak I have learned to command respect - not through fear but through expression and thinking before speaking. Rarely do I say something as a throwaway when it is serious.

I like to listen and then respond. I'm not afraid of the truth either. I think that is important for me to remember.

I believe you have a lot to say and offer - things that no one else does. That's just part of being human I think and you are a human (unless you are an alien lol).

Either way though @Zoe7 it is what it is.

Btw, do you know you can do teaching online now? did you ever consider that?
