@Bunniekins

Re: A long rave

@outlander My son is circling like a great white shark .... not really but he has to go to bed as he is getting grouchy. Enjoy the feast! Love gp xxxxx

Re: A long rave

No worries @Bunniekins take care

Re: A long rave

@Mazarita Dear Mazzy your Friday sounds delightful particularly seeing the pale headed rozellas (how special is that!).  Speaking to the bus driver is so nice that is one of the reasons why I love talking with taxi drivers because they are always the most interesting people to talk to. I hope you have an equally wonderful day today. Love gp xxx

Re: A long rave

Good morning @Mazarita @Bunniekins @CheerBear @outlander @Shaz51 @TAB @Sophia1 @Exoplanet @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope and anyone else who might be here this morning.  A beautiful sunny cool morning here.

@Mazarita  It was wonderful to read your long rave about your busy but relaxed day yesterday.  Your 'reverse psychology' does seem to be working well.  Hoping to catch up with you in real time sometime today.

@Bunniekins I hope your son is in a better mood today.  I remember well the feeling of apparently peaceful times and anticipation of the next dark (and sometimes violent)  mood of my now adult child.  It's still like that but they live in another city.  Nearly 30 and due to have their 2nd baby in the next 2 weeks, yesterday they hung up on me when I was asking if they wanted any help like meals delivered that I would pay for.  Seriously?

Hoping all who pass here have a good day today.

Re: A long rave

Hello Everyone 🙂

@Bunniekins
So glad to hear your appointment went well Heart I'm often 'busy' in my head but when it comes to actually doing things . . . I tend to take things pretty slow 🙂 We did have
a bathing day yesterday & I got the shade cloth for the back of the house out & placed
it in a position where I can reach it from the roof - that's a start 🙂 Love to you Heart

@Teej
So good to hear from you Heart The shower was great, even in warm weather I like warm water {& the new beaut portable 12v hot water system makes that sooooo much easier 🙂 } - it's not until the 40's + that a hot water system isn't neccessary, when it
gets that hot I have to pour the bath {no hot water} & wait for it to cool enough to
get in! When it gets to that time of year, I have to remember to fill containers with
water at night, otherwise it's cups of tea all day 'cause the waters to hot to drink! Love to you Heart

@CheerBear
I'm glad something seeped out of my post & made your lips curl upwards too 🙂 I'm more
at the 'getting prepared' stage of getting on the roof. The shade cloths bundled up &
in a position I can grab it from up there, other than that all I have to take up is a
small container of soapy water & a cloth {for the panels}, & a dustpan brush {for the
gutters}. I think I'll leave the front shade for a bit & I still have to get the drip
nozzles for the 'fire prevention' set up 😉 I'm glad you appreciate your Doctors
honesty, but sorry they put you on that med in the first place. I'm guessing some test
came back with some sort of indication that wasn't entirely positive. I hope the change
over in meds is gentle for you. Love to you Heart

@eth
I've always got a long job list, I'm just very selective about which ones I actually
do 🙂 & summer is harsh, doing something about it is a bit of a 'have to'! I'm not very
north, nor very south, not in the centre, just on the edge, somewhere in qld, very close
to nsw, not that far from s & w australia - is that vauge enough? 😄 I lived in the
territory for a few years, totally different heat . . . it's not just the rain that drowns up there, the air gets so humid just breathing does it too. But I loved the dry season! I can understand why people go there just for winter 🙂 Hope you slept better last night. Love to you Heart

@Shaz51
Thank you for thinking of me Shaz Heart There aren't many people in real life that give
me a second thought. But that's ok, there aren't many people in real life I give much thought for, apart from my daughter & grandkids - I miss them dearly. Hoping your
feeling better & your Mum & Mr Shaz too Heart Love to you Heart

Mazy @Mazarita
What a wonderful day you had yesterday! I'm so glad, you so deserve it Heart Ya for beating the bed-bug & making it to craft group 😄 🙂 My days starting with a plan to bald my little buddy 🙂 I put the fan on for the first time yesterday & didn't shut the windows
last night {did shut the curtains}, none of us got cold . . . winter's over 😉 I'm all prepared to put the shade up on the back of the house, it gets blasted by the sun all day & I'm allowing myself to notice the grass in the houseyard - that's the first step towards mowing 😉 I saw a pair of Black Cockatoos yesterday during our on-lead walk up the road - made my walk! 🙂 Love to you Heart

@outlander
I hope your feeling a little better today, if not please do go & see the doctor HeartGlad
you've reduced the workload though it sounds like real rest is what's needed {nag, nag,
nag!} I don't think many people look forward to having teeth taken out, it's certainly
not what I look forward to! 😉 But the relief from pain & sickness, & the ability to
sleep again absolutely is Heart There's light at the end of that tunnel, it is going to get better Heart Lots of love & gentle hugs to you Heart

Re: A long rave

Hi @Exoplanet and @Bunniekins

I absolutely love black cockatoos Exo.  They show themselves so rarely.  I have a tail feather from a red-tailed one on the shelf above where I'm sitting.  Your description of where you are reminded me of a couple of my adventures in my early 40s.  One time I drove down from Yeppoon to Cunnamulla via Injune to see a guy called the Murri  Doctor - a very interesting Aboriginal man.  Another time I went west in northern NSW all the way to Lightning Ridge and up to Goodooga and Hebel.  Another Aboriginal friend is from Goodooga and we've been friends since about 1990.  He's an excellent singer/songwriter and just did an extensive tour of Canada.  Boy I could tell some tales about that friendship!

I love hearing your details about your lifestyle and managing your property - temperature control, fencing and water management, getting up on the roof ....  I really admire you doing it all yourself.  Living the life I wanted for many years and tried a few times.  I never owned the land I was on and usually ended up moving on, especially in times of mania.

I miss the wet season in the tropics as much as the dry.  During the dry places are much more accessible to go adventuring, but it's always such a blessed relief when the wet cracks a long build-up season.

@Bunniekins I guess as long as your son stays in bed you get some pea's and a chance to catch up on other stuff.

My internet is dropping in and out again, so if there's a delay in my replies that's why.
