Re: A long rave

I'm really hoping I can tolerate this one and that it helps @Mazarita. I'm not expecting great things but a little more emotional stability if it can do that, which GP thinks it may, would be good 🙂

That is huge with yesterday! Big smile reading and thinking of you pushing through fear and having it work out well for you. Can totally understand how that would have been a rollercoaster one. Will you see your friend again in the near future? You've been doing some great things 😊

My Sunday is looking cold haha. It's definitely inside weather. I've been looking at more crochet patterns as well as what it will take to finish that big bright cotton blanket I started months ago, so I think I'll do some of that today while the kids have movies going probably. How about your Sunday?

Re: A long rave

Crochet seems to help you a lot, @CheerBear, and it's so wonderful that you have helped @outlander find good feelings with it too. The work you are both doing is lovely. I find knitting a balancing and mindful activity too, though I haven't done any more on my new project since I started it on Friday. I think I might try to do some of that today. The project is a knit-bomb, with trees to be wrapped in knitting, for a mental health art day that is coming up here. Really glad to have a good purpose to get me going on it again and I've never been involved in knit-bombing before, and just think it's cool! Smiley Happy

Aside from that, I'm hoping to have a fairly chill day, hopefully with a visit to see my close friend. About the friend I thought I'd lost: we haven't made any plans to see each other more yet, but it's likely to happen over time as we are friends of a closer friend to each of us. Even if we don't end up having a full-blown friendship ever again, the karma between us is clear now and we can at least be friendly acquaintances. We talked a lot yesterday and she even gave me a little gift, which was so sweet.

Re: A long rave

That is SO cool about your knitting project @Mazarita. Funny thing - I had asked my MH worker to help me find the local yarn bombers that I know are around, as I really want to get involved but find it hard to connect with them for lots of reasons, the main one being that social media isn't something I can do (I think we've spoken about my want to get involved in yarn bombing one early morning before). She came back telling me it wasn't the most legal thing I could be doing and wasn't very helpful with it. It is legal particularly when they're projects that are organised and asked for and I felt a bit frustrated at her response to it. So late last week I found another way to try and connect and will keep trying with that as it's reeeeally something I want to do. So cool to hear you're getting involved also. I can imagine what the theme may be too as they have similar days/projects this time of the year for that reason here too 🙂 Super cool and fun Maz!

That's really great with your friend. Imagining it may feel relieving in a way. I hope you enjoy other friend today. Loved the bird story and picture you shared the other day 😊

Re: A long rave

I didn't remember you talking about yarn-bombing, @CheerBear. So cool that you have found another way to possibly connect with that. There was talk on Friday at the mental health centre I go to about how it is illegal. But this one is on the grounds of a hospital and only the trees there (and probably the light poles) will be yarn-bombed. So pretty safe with this one. But I tend to think that any creative project in public places in cities enhances the community's lives. I like graffiti too, much more interesting and human to look at than a blank wall.

It is very relieving to have friendly contact with my person again. I really brood over broken relationships with people, even if I don't know them that well, they haunt me. There's another one that's still haunting me, though it happened a few months ago now. I'm probably going to see her again at some point as we frequent some of the same spaces. I'm hoping we can clear the karma there too at some stage. Will be very nervous seeing her again too though!

Re: A long rave

I agree with you with street art enhancing community @Mazarita. I think it's a grey area as it's not permanent, though there is potential for it to be an illegal activity. From what I understand, it's up to the council and the way they view it. I'm fortunate to live somewhere where it seems it's embraced. The project you're involved with sounds fab 😊

I can understand those uncomfortable feelings involving relationships that have ruptured and the anxiety that may come if theres potential for you to be coming in to contact with those involved again. It's great when it works out well to address the tension some way.

All of a sudden the morning is full of the sounds of the birds waking up. So nice but all I can think is how cold they'd be this morning! It was forecast to snow not too far from here yesterday (not sure if it did though). We had a hint of warm weather and it's like I instantly forgot how cold it can be here!

Re: A long rave

When I used to live down south (for decades), I found the winters so hard, @CheerBear. I used to think that, if only it snowed, it would be more bearable because of the wonderment of that. Stay rugged up today. Sounds like a very good day for crochet. Smiley Happy

Well, it's light here now, which I am taking as my cue to return to bed. Naughty me being up since about 3am when I'm trying to fix my sleep patterns. But it's been great being here, and always good chatting with you at this quiet, clear-minded time. Until next time, hugs and love your way. Heart

Re: A long rave

So good to catch you this morning @Mazarita. Hearing of your knitting project and what it involves has given me a huge smile this morning 😊

I'm going to enjoy the quiet here and try and pick apart a pattern I would love to have but don't want to buy. I'll set myself a challenge to work it out without instructions (and probably fail but it will be fun trying).

Hope you sleep well ❤

Morning best wishes to all who may come by too. Hope your Sunday starts well 💗😊
