A long rave

Re: A long rave

Yes, another hobby would be good, @outlander. Motivation is often a problem, though usually not with video. My loss of interest in that is a measure of how depressed I've been. I'd like to be knitting but can't really afford the materials for it. There's art group but haven't been for about 4 weeks because of the weird thing that happened last time I went. Too long a story to explain on mobile. But I'm hoping to screw up some courage and go again this week. Other than that, I'm a bit at a loss for other hobbies.

Re: A long rave

Yeah she’s got one, but doesn’t use it @outlander she’s not really into getting her hair brushed even if gentle and prefers her hair out. Like to help out a lot. I remember having a disagreement once about the vacuum. I said I can do it Bub but no she insisted on doing it lol.

Re: A long rave

Good morning all.

@Mazarita hope all goes well with the tradie coming.  And that you're having an otherwise better day today.

@Sophia1 thanks a lot for your thoughtful message.  I am feeling a bit better today thanks.  Hope you are too.

Hi @outlander @CheerBear @Former-Member  @Exoplanet @The-red-centaur @Appleblossom  and anyone else around at the moment.

Re: A long rave

Hi @eth 🙂

The tradie should be here any minute now, if he's on time. Hope you might be feeling a bit less stressed today. @Sophia1 is right. Tears can be a relief and a good letting go. What's happening for you today. Bearing in mind I may drop out at any time the tradie turns up. 😛

Re: A long rave

oh thats really cute @Former-Member
i remember my siblings do that too growing up and trying to 'help'

Re: A long rave

depression and lack of motivation is hard @Mazarita
sorry to hear of your weird thing that happened, hope its not discouraged you to much to try again.
im not sure if your on facebook or even gumtree but sometimes people are giving away free knitting materials. pity i didnt know you, my aunt is trying to get rid of a huge box of knitting things. she said last she counted there were 3 or 4 sets of needles and over 30 types/colours of wool!
sometimes if your on there yuo can put up on some sites asking if anyones selling any cheap or free too. just a thought anyway

Re: A long rave

@outlander, @eth, just got a text that tradie is on his way here. From where, I don't know, lol. Could be a few minutes or an hour, he didn't tell me, lol.

Usually when I knit, outlander, it's to a pattern that requires particular sized needles and yarn. Bit hit or m7ss on Gumtree. If I was a better knitter, I could be more creative and design my own around the materials available. But worth think7ng about other sources, thanks.

Re: A long rave

Hey @Mazarita yes feeling a bit better today.  Seems like you are too.

So far I've rewritten and updated my bio and support needs on the HireUp page which involved going back through a couple of folders of info from the pre-planning phase with NDIS.  I think they're pretty comprehensive now.

Also rang my coordinator of supports but had to leave a message.  No reply yet.  Need to reschedule a meeting she cancelled last wednesday.

Need responses on both the above before I can book any support workers.  Still frustrated about that (a month now since my NDIS plan was approved).

Taking care of some more admin type stuff over the afternoon.

Really should get on the ex bike - didn't do it at all last week as a really heavy piece of 4x4 timber fell on my foot and I thought it might be broken - seems to have recovered surprisingly quickly, probably thanks to arnica cream as soon as it happened, and the whole rest, ice, elevation thing for a whole day.

Sounds like you have a nice afternoon planned for after the tradie's been.  I hope you get there.

Re: A long rave

Sorry to hear about your foot, @eth. Great that self care has been so healing. Sounds like you have done very good things for ndis today. Maybe it might be worth thinking of this admin phase as the first step in the ndis recovery process. Having to manage more of that on your own is a challenge in itself, and will be developing skills for the future.

@eth Yes RICE can be surprisingly effective.  Smiley Happy

@Mazarita Its noce to be able to manage the odd early one when needed.  I had to with plumber.  Hope the tradie fixes it all and leaves it tidy.Heart

@Former-Member Sounds like you have a lot sorted with your daughter. Heart

@Exoplanet So glad that your fence saga is paying off ... it being expensive enough.  We do what we can for family ... and your animals are family.Heart

My son has a mother and girl friend who make sure he gets out into the bush ..lol
