Instead, I think she's having too much fun doing other things.

My Dad once told me that when they had mice in the house (35 years ago) - he said to Megsie puss "You're not doing your job".

Then Megs promptly brought back several mice, that she caught...

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

Jelly cat has a toy mouse (in a rolly ball), which she used to like.

She doesn't pay any attention to it anymore - only the Scratching post & the food bowl, when she's inside.

I'm sure she's catching things outside, although probably not rats & mice...
