Glad that something helps.  

I have lived in toxic situations most of my life.  I did not realise how much. Nor did I have any real support until last couple of years. I struggled to get 2 siblings help for self harm and lost them.  I still struggle with my own self harm and suicidal ideation.  I feel for you and your daughter.  I am still alive, so speaking out about these issues gives my life meaning.  

It is an epidemic. It breaks my heart that so many people in the world have so much stuff but still so much pain. I also know how many little violations can add up to serious family violence and that both women and men contribute.

I am not sure how old your girl is ....

but bottom line ... both parents are better than one or none ...

they dont have to be together.

Self harm is a coping mechanism ... not an ideal one .. but still just an outlet for feelings and stress. People can turn it around. Find new ways to release and manage emotions. I looked at the website and they look like they know their business ... so I wish you both the best.   De-escalation will be important, rather than total blaming, even if there is some complicity.
