Bipolar- you are on the high seas

You started out like any other ship, in a building yard (birth). But the shiprights in your yard didnt build you as sound as other yards. You had more flaws but you sailed ok.

You sailed with the other ships but soon as time went on you sailed more out to sea (Mania ocean) where the high seas tossed you about. You wanted so desperately to get back to the other ships within eyesight, but alas it rarely happened. Then when it did happen you sailed past them so quickly you went straight into dry dock (depression) where you'd be interviewed (psych) and serviced. Why couldnt you dock beside the pier (stability) like all the others and allow your passengers (brain cells) to visit land and have a good time? Instead, as soon as you have a new coat of paint (medication) you steam uncontrollably to the high seas again. As you pass fleets of ships (clubs) you stay a while with some ships built the same as you in size and power (family) but soon you are bombarded from others (outsiders) so you weather the storm to the high seas where your engine stops (breakdown) and you need rescuing (medical staff)

Eventually you find the best drug of all. You sail slowly to the coast where there is a pier for your docking made just for you. The pier is too small and you just dont feel right. You suspect your stay is so uncomfortable you will leave. Another boat comes (tug)  to nudge you out to sea (abusers). This time you find other ships on the high seas and you tie each other with ropes (forum) where you can together withstand the huge waves (ups and downs).

We will always be on the high seas. That's the way it is. The sun still shines there, the air is crisp. And our engines (heart) still runs....

One day you realise that you will never be together with that fleet of ships in calmer waters (normality). you only pass by on the way to dry dock and that small empty pier until you are pushed out again.
