One of the ways you can bring a mindfulness practice into your life and into your work space is through combining it with other therapies you're already familiar with ...
One example of this is Mindfulness Based CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) known as MBCBT.
In this scenario you learn (I learned through Liana Taylor Phd) how to decentre through actively observing how your body feels when you encounter an upsetting stimulus or even for intrusive thoughts and feelings ...
Once you locate the area in your body in which your emotion is sitting ... You go through a series of cognitive and Mindfulness based behaviours to release associated tension and increase relaxation.
There are many other therapies which engage mindfulness based processes to help with anxiety .... another one is Mindfulness Based ACT (acceptance commitment therapy).
I urge you to try new methods that incorporate Mindfulness if you're experiencing stress at work, again practice is key if you want to create new neural pathways ...
anyone have any experiences with other therapies?

Well we have come to the end of our forum for today ...
we discussed Mindfulness and how to best go about using it in a work context, the idea that Mindfulness makes you feel better and is good for your brain and body and how 'flow' is a mindful state of being ... Finally I mentioned ways to incorporate Mindfulness into therapies you may already be using.
Maybe you could research this further ...😀
Also, remember of course that as with any practice... You have to practice! And particularly when you're not stressed (thank you to @Former-Member for that contribution)
If you have other comments or want to chat further, the forum will remain open until 4pm, so feel free to keep chatting.
In the meantime, I hope you've gained something from today, I know I have - and thank you to @Bimby2, @Former-Member, @believeinme, @BlueBay and to @NikNik for contributing and making this a great forum.
Not just for today but always! Your contributions are always helpful and welcomed!
Stay safe and hope to chat again next week, same time same place on CareerChat, enjoy your weekend!

Yes, my partner and I used to go to a Buddhist Meditation session which lasted an hour and found
we could use mindfulness during this time period. It does reqiure one to discipline their mind on the
keeping of letting go any intruding thoughts but is very good for one's mental health. The centre moved
too far away for us to continue going there but it was a very enlightening experience and can be practised
with rewarding results. Bimby2
